Wellness Spaces

These are virtual Spaces hosted on MS Teams. This means you’ll need a big enough screen to see the slides. Each Wellness Space will be for 1hr – 1hr 30mins.


We will meet in small groups made up of individuals from ethnically minoritised groups which has the advantage of:
Safe spaces of relatable experiences.
Diversity in wisdom from multiple cultural backgrounds.
Perspective of including wisdom from spirituality.

Pre-cursor Introductory space

‘Psychology’, a western term that can feel somewhat elitist. However, the Greek root of the word ‘psychotherapy’ refers to the concept of soul healing, and this is not a new idea. But what exactly is the soul and what does it mean for it to heal? I invite you on this reflective journey to grow your inner wisdom.

Emotional Wellness

What are emotions? Are emotions good or bad? Where or how do you experience emotions? We will look at the language of emotions, what they signal to us and how we can attend to our emotions in an embodied way.

Relational Wellness

Do I always put the needs of others above my own? Is Assertiveness a talent that only a few are born with? Can I respect my elders and require respect in return? We will explore how to improve our emotional intelligence in order to maintain relationships in ways that don’t have long-term detrimental impact on our wellbeing.

Occupational Wellness

‘Work-Life Balance’ is such an idyllic term. But do you have it? And if not, how do you get it? As we learn/sharpen our tools for balance, we will explore the legacy that prior immigrant generations have left for us in our communities when it comes to a balanced healthy approach to work as a big part of our lives.

Holistic Wellness

Who are you and where do you come from? We can breathe life into these tired questions by drawing on narrative skills that build a positive sense of identity. As individuals with stories that are deeply rooted, we can own the reality that wellness is also a shared experience nurtured by cultural context.
